I got my start in cause-based communications more than 8 years ago after discovering that my passion for storytelling can help move issues forward.
Since then, I’ve held positions at organizations supporting causes in education and public health, working on issues such as reducing stigmas faced by individuals with obesity, attracting young adults to teaching careers, and fundraising for scholarships that make it possible for college students to earn their degrees.
Through each of these experiences, I’ve found a love for the creative process that happens when communicating about the projects and people that are changing the world.
I am a proud graduate of the Zimmerman School of Advertising and Mass Communications at the University of South Florida and currently serve at my alma mater as Director of Communications for USF's College of Education. In 2021, I earned my master of arts degree in mass communication with a concentration in public interest communications from the University of Florida.
I enjoy working in the communications field because I get to do a little bit of everything I love: writing, editing, designing, and strategizing how all of these tactics can fit together into a cohesive plan. More than that, the communications field is a place where I can combine my passion for storytelling with the hope I have to make a difference in the world—and it makes the work I do all that much more rewarding.
